1.justify your understanding of this poem 'virtue'.
Virtue poem has written by George Herbert. George Herbert is Religious poet. He was associated with metaphysical poets group. Virtue poem has taken from his collection 'The Temple'. In the first stanza poet tells about the day. Day is sweet, cool, calm and bright. Ahead poet talking about bridal of the earth and sky. By this poet tells that was serene day. When the night come that all should lost. That all should be gone.in the second stanza they talked about rose. Rose is a beautiful flower with bold and attractive even a passer by is forced to wipe his eyes and have carefull glance of it and admire it's beauty. After that it's root become it's grave. Then all must die.
In third stanza spring come with a sweet day. It will can't stay for long time. Then winter will come. In winter facing tremendous pain one experience the hope and tranquility of life. at that point poet shows earthly beauty and it's temprariness. even this poem is not eternal. in last stanza he concludes that all things in the world are destined to die but only sweet and virtuous soul would never die. Though the world may come to an end, yet the virtue would survive for ever and would never deccay.
